He was predeceased by: his parents, George Washington Wilson and Laureen Ethel May Wilson; and his siblings, Ron Wilson, Marilyn Whiteside and Leona.

He is survived by: his wife Elsie; his sons, Donald Carl (Lee) and Joseph Brett (late Helene); and his great grandchild Damon James Turl. He is also survived by nephews, his family and friends.
