He was predeceased by: his parents, Blaz and Franciska. He is survived by: his wife Doroteja; his sons, Steven (Lisa) and Peter (Amanda); his grandchildren, Marisa, Stephanie, Charlotte and Luke; and his siblings, Vinko, Sofia and Mara.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 29th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Markey Dermody Funeral Home (1774 King St E, Hamilton, ON L8K 1V7). A rosary was held on Thursday, January 29th 2026 at 7:45 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 30th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Cross Croatian Church (1883 King St E, Hamilton, ON L8K1V9). A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 30th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Croatian Sports and Community Centre (166 Green Mountain Rd E, Stoney Creek, ON L8J3A4). An entombment was held on Friday, January 30th 2026 at the Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Cemetery (681 Mud St E, Hamilton, ON L8J3B8).
