He was predeceased by: his parents, Laurie Dunlop and Eileen Dunlop; and his brother Michael Dunlop. He is survived by: his children, Eleanor Ankaart and Brendan Ankaart; and his siblings, Lauree Dunlop, Patricia Dale (Vic) and Wayne Dunlop. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
