She is survived by : her husband James; her children, Alan (Colleen), David (Terry), Kenneth (Audrey), Nicola and Carol (Peter); and her grandchildren, Jessica (Dan), Paul (Beth), Justin (Sarah), Matt James (Sheena), Harleigh and Kelly. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nephews.

In lieu of flowers and out of remembrance of Joan, donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion- Branch 459; Alzheimer's Society of York Region, or an animal charity of your choice.
