Adam Stecher Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Adam Stecher of Stratford, Ontario, who passed away on February 16, 2026 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Stecher and Eva Stecher (Scheuerman); his siblings, Jack (Gene), Elizabeth Stecher, Dan and John Jr. (Brenda); his brother-in-law Ralph Collison; and his in-laws, Ross and Louise Goulin.
He is survived by: his close friend Carolyn Mae Stecher (Goulin); his children, Kim Matresky (Paul) and Jeff Stecher (Deb); his grandchildren, Kathleen Lindner (Zach) and Michael Matresky; his great grandchildren, Duncan and Clarke Lindner; his sister Eva Collison; and his sister-in-law Marilyn Stecher. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 25th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the W. G. Young Funeral Home (430 Huron St, Stratford, ON N5A5T7). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 25th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Wednesday, February 25th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location.
As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or Alzheimer Society through the funeral home.
