He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorne Schmidt and Florence Schmidt; his parents-in-law, Clifford and Vera Fehrman; his siblings, Janice Junker (Bruce) of Grand Bend and Ron Schmidt; and his sister-in-law Sharyn Schmidt.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Schmidt (Fehrman); his children, Sherri Beatty (Brad) and Scott Schmidt (Hayley Flanagan); his grandchildren, Brock, Brayden Beatty, Reese and Henry Flanagan; his sisters, Joyce Gingerich (Ray) of Alberta and Linda Battler (Keith) of Kincardine, Ontario.; and his sisters-in-law, Dianne Schulz (Tom) and Janice Horan. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
