She was predeceased by: her parents, Noreen and Ray. She is survived by: her husband Allan Slater; her children, Ann Slater (Ken), Bill Slater (Shehnaz), Sarah Slater (Grant) and Stew Slater (Mari); her grandchildren, Rachel, Rasheeda, Liam, Sophia, Moira, Sean and Jude; and her siblings, Marilyn Carnegie (Frank), Jack McCoubrey (Janet) and Jim McCoubrey (Deborah). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations to the Canadian Foodgrains Bank or the St. Marys and Area Home Support Services.
