He was predeceased by: his brother Ron Hildenbrand; his grandson Henry; his parents, Doreen Gregg and Herbert Hildenbrand; and his parents-in-law, Robert and Mary Pfrumter.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce (Pfrumter); his children, Tina, Bob (Dione) and Mike (Catie); his grandchildren, Abby, Grace, Jack, Sarah, Noah and Isaac; his siblings-in-law, Bob Pfrumter (Martha) and Flona Hildenbrand; his niece Jenny Fuhr (Dillon); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Cameron, Izzy and Amberly.
