He was predeceased by: his parents, Johannes "Jan" and Johanna "Jaans" (Brekelmans) of Brouwer; and his wives, Maria van of Ven and Elizabeth Taylor. He is survived by: his sister Ria Van Gool (Paul); his in-laws, Tom Smeekens, Riek of Brouwer and van Dijk; his children, John (Cindy) of Brouwer, Marian of Brouwer, Donna Mosurinjohn (Jody), Nancy Dale, Barb Inch (Jerry Johnson), David Smith (Tammy) and Christine Glover (Bill); and his grandchildren, Rory (Dani), Rachel (Jake), Russell, Sarah, Dan (Catherine), Cheyenne, Carly (Jeff), Bradley (Katie), Brittany (Jon), Bryan (Angela), Jeff (Jen), Melissa (Chris), Whitney (Ahmed), Brady (Rebecca), Jaimee (Chance), Justine (Alex) and Jaclyn (John).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 7th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Haskett Funeral Home (87 Goderich St W, Seaforth, ON N0K1W0). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
