He was predeceased by : his parents, Carl Gonyon and Vera Wolting; his daughter Charity Dunn; and his brothers, David, Denis and Irvin Gonyon.

He is survived by : his wife Dawn Rutledge-Gonyon; his children, Joe Dunn, Krista Rutledge (Corey) and Pamila Kew (Rob); his siblings, Paula Carrier (Burt), Deb Carrier and Tim Gonyon; and his grandchildren, Caitlyn, Ben, Gage, Archer, Atlas and Jordyn.
