He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Henry Dietrich and Irene Dietrich (Taite); and his son Timothy Andrew Dietrich. He is survived by: his significant other Joanne Mary Soontiens; his children, Daniel Dietrich (Grace) and Penny Dietrich (Colin); his stepchildren, Bill Soontiens (Kari), Marie Soontiens (Eddie), Nancy Soontiens (Will) and Wendy Soontiens (Terry); his grandchildren, Caitlyn Stevens-Dietrich (Leo), Odin Dietrich, Ella, Kate Soontiens, Carter and Riley Durocher; and the mothers of children, Judith (Armstrong) and Hartt (John). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
