He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Hammer and Elizabeth Hammer (Schumacher); his brothers, Robert, Donald, Charles, Philip and Michael; and his brother-in-law Peter Bugera.
He is survived by: his wife Tai Hammer; his son Donnie Hammer; his siblings, Lucille Leis (Walter), Anne Bugera, Jeanette Hammor, Gerald (Virginia) and Carole Frank (George); and his sisters-in-law, Marion, Linda and Rita. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews.
