She was predeceased by : her parents, Johan DeGroot and Antonia DeGroot (Smits); her former life partner Claus Stadelmayer; her parents-in-law, Daniel and Anna Stadelmayer (Willud); her stepmother Florentina DeGroot; her mother-in-law Ruby Burge (Smith); her siblings, Johannes DeGroot, Maria Nixon, Petronella Eckert (Sweitzer), Wilhelmina Barlow (Grant), William DeGroot, Francis DeGroot (Linda) and James DeGroot; her siblings-in-law, Inge Wittek (Edmund), William Nixon, Harry Oldenburg, Herman Derouin and Michael Belvedere; and her stepsister Ellie Von Euw (Hans).
She is survived by : her husband Victor Smith; her children, Thomas Stadelmayer and Nancy McLeod (Michael); her grandchildren, Steven Stadelmayer (Debbie) and Sarah Stam; her children, Corinne McLeod (Daniel Blackburn), Brendon McLeod and Abbey Dolgovykh (Anton); her great grandchildren, Eric Stadelmayer, Sophia, William Stam, Declan Satchell (Sidney Rowcliff) and Bailey Satchell; her brother Anthony DeGroot (Darlene); her siblings-in-law, Cheri DeGroot (Joe Cassel), Marilyn DeGroot, Steve Eckert, Ronald Sweitzer, Joseph Jardine, Ann Oldenburg, Irmgard Derouin, Adelheid Belvedere and Hans Stadelmayer (Arlene); her stepsisters, Mickie Hamilton (John) and JoAnne Matthews (Paul); her friends, Nellie Eckhardt and Margaret Goode; and her nephews, Steven Nixon and Dean Pottle. She is also survived by cousins.
A burial will be held on Saturday, May 11th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the First St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery (4014 Road 140, Sebringville, ON N0K1X0). A reception will be held on Saturday, May 11th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the First St. Johns Lutheran Church (4014 Road 140, Sebringville, ON N0K1X0).
