“Memories flooded back of go cart races on Erie Street, baseball at Dufferin field, hockey at the arena across the river from my house. As an early teenager, I had great summer times at the Falstaff, Hamlet and Princess Street playgrounds. We kids all wanted to be just like Marlene, Joyce and other leaders who taught us responsibility, loyalty, friendship and sportsmanship. It was a different world and Gary and those like him have left their mark. Lee Ann (Cornish) Pearson Sault Ste. Marie”
