Gerald Gilbert Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gerald Gilbert in Stratford, Ontario, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 4, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George Gilbert and Thelma Wilhelmina Gilbert; his brother Lynn George Gilbert; and his sister-in-law Lois Gilbert. He is survived by: his nieces, Jennifer Glazier (Randy) of Dashwood and Susan Gilbert (Scott Elliot) of Mitchell; his nephew Rod Gilbert (Tammy) of Cape Cod; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jaime Glazier Shauna (Kevin Metzger), Abbie Gilbert, Amanda Gilbert, Andrew Gilbert, Nolan Gilbert and Zachary Elliot; and also, Hailey Metzger, Jase Metzger, Aria DaPonte, Ellie DaPonte and Jackson Lamanna.

Visitation was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Elgin Missionary Church (4192 Perth County Line 36, Stratford, ON N5A6S6). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the Avondale Cemetery (4 Avondale Ave, Stratford, ON N5A6M4). A reception was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Elgin Missionary Church (4192 Perth County Line 36, Stratford, ON N5A6S6).
