Harry Visser Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Harry Visser (Stratford, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 2, 2025 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Harry Visser to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ted Visser and Maria Visser; and his sister Dinah (Tony). He is survived by: his wife Madeleine Verellen; his children, Joe Visser (late Elisabeth), Nancy Muir (Murray), Paul Visser (Carolyn), Susan Visser, Angela Lehner (Rudy), Ron Visser, Mark Visser (Cindy) and Mike Visser (Alison); his grandchildren, Jake, Bryan, Stephanie, Luke, Shane, Kevin, Kessy, Sara, Jesse, Sydney, Kyle, Nicole and Cathy; and his siblings, Joe Visser (late Rose), Toni Snyders (late John), Pete Visser (Seline), Teddie Willemse (John), Mary Moons (late Everit) and Tony Visser (Erma). He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the W. G. Young Funeral Home (430 Huron St, Stratford, ON N5A5T7). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 8th 2025 from 5:45 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, September 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Joseph's Church (96 Huron St, Stratford, ON N5A5S6). A burial will be held on Tuesday, September 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Avondale Cemetery (4 Avondale Ave, Stratford, ON N5A6M4). A reception will be held on Tuesday, September 9th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the St. Joseph's Church (96 Huron St, Stratford, ON N5A5S6).
As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to Society of St. Vincent de Paul or to Stepping Up for St. Joesph's through the funeral home.
