It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan DeGroot (Stratford, Ontario), who passed away on December 28, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joan DeGroot to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Kelly and Theresa Kelly; her sister Beth Young (Steve); and her nephew Chris. She is survived by: her husband Jack DeGroot; her children, Bill Krantz (Laurie), Kelly Krantz, Joshua DeGroot (Chris Regier) and Joseph DeGroot (Riddhi Vora); her adoptive child Ashley DeGroot (Greysky Bressette); and her sister Jane Kelly (Brad Flood). She is also survived by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Lung Association, or Lung Health Foundation (Canada) would be appreciated by the family.
