He was predeceased by: his parents, William Davidson and Lorene Davidson; his parents-in-law, Eric and Catherine Schmidt; and his siblings, Ross, Harold, Robert, Vera Spendiff and Dorothy Sproule.
He is survived by: his close friend Jean (Schmidt); his children, Jane (Jeff) and Jim (Dianne); his grandchildren, Jay, Emily (Johnny) and Janet; his sisters, Ella McCann and Shirley; and his siblings-in-law, Rhea Davidson, Sharon Clements, Irene Davidson, Martha Davidson, Charles Spendiff, Harry Sproule, Bill McCann, Tom Clements, Douglas Schmidt, Shirley Schmidt, Frank Friend and Ian Dawson Sr..
A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, September 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the W. G. Young Funeral Home Reception Centre (430 Huron St, Stratford, ON N5A5T7).
