John McInnes Obituary

The memory of John McInnes of Stratford, Ontario, who passed away on October 28, 2025 at the age of 79, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, George McInnes and Mary McInnes (Moser); his wife Joan Elizabeth (Reid); his brothers, Robert (Marlene), Stewart (Cecelia) and Graham (Nancy); and his in-laws, Robert Reid, Gary Reid and Jim Reid.

He is survived by: his children, Shelley Chenier (Dan) and Brian McInnes; his grandchildren, Sierra and Cameron; and his sister-in-law Barb Reid. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the W. G. Young Funeral Home (430 Huron St, Stratford, ON N5A5T7). A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:15 PM at the Avondale Cemetery (4 Avondale Ave, Stratford, ON N5A6M4).
