She was predeceased by : her daughter-in-law Wendy McCarthy; her parents, Alvin Barthel and Olive Barthel; her brother Ross Barthel; and her brother-in-law Roy McQuaid.

She is survived by : her husband Terry McCarthy; her children, Michael (Debra), Pat (Andrea), Dale (Deb) and Greg; her grandchildren, Clayton, Margaret, Kate, Brittney, John, Andrew, Breanna, Samantha, James, Kathryn, Kendall, Kirsten, Sarah and Rebecca; and her great grandchildren, Wesley, Austin, Oliver, Delanie, Chase, Emery and Scarlett.
