He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Aitcheson and Nora Aitcheson (Parrott); his granddaughter Nicole Lorraine Aitcheson; and his brother Bruce Aitcheson. He is survived by: his close friend Donna Jean Aitcheson (Dunseith); his children, Louise Hansford (Mike), Kevin Aitcheson (Joan), Ray Aitcheson (Vickie) and Karen Achilles (Dan); his grandchildren, Jessica (Darryl), Jennifer (Eugene), JD (Sara), Katelyn (Leslie), Tyson (Ali), Michaila (Brandon), Chaney (Claire), Jalen (Rachel), Donny (Andrea), Joey and Karlee (Kevin); his great grandchildren, Lucy, Annie, Hazel, Ben, Ella, Oliver, Archie, Nate, Cooper, Margot, Max, Rowan, Isla, Jett, Carter, Dax, Vaida, Mavi, Rory, Daphnee, Dawson, Sienna and Chloe; and his sister Maxine Coulthard (Reid). He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, January 11th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Downie Optimist Community Centre (3185 Road 122, St. Pauls, ON N0K1V0).
In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Stratford Minor Baseball Association cheques payable to Stratford Minor Baseball Association or etransfer to ([email protected]) or to the Pediatric Cochlear Implant Area at the London Children's Hospital through the funeral home.
