He was predeceased by : his parents, Carl Hyde and Annie Hyde (Cook); and his siblings, Margaret Daum (Ken), Betty Innes (Ken), John (Alice), George (Shirley), Tom and Wray.

He is survived by : his nephew Peter Hyde; his children, Brent Hyde (Margaret Bell) and Jodi Meiering (Ed); his grandchildren, Connor and Abby; his brothers, Bill Hyde (Marilyn) and Don Hyde (Jane); and his sisters-in-law, Gail Hyde and Mary Lou Hyde. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
