We announce the death of Larry Parsons of Stratford, Ontario, who passed away on September 9, 2026, at the age of 86. Larry will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Parsons and Helen Parsons; his parents-in-law, Stewart and Margaret Buck; his siblings, Carol MacDonald (Howard) and Alan Parsons; and his siblings-in-law, Walter Borghesan, James Buck, Roy Buck (Gracie), Ronald Buck, Pat Manning, Andrew Buck, Dorothy Buck, Viola Bastien (Morris), Ina Major, Joe Wickert, Ken Taylor and Beverley Neidig (Bob).
He is survived by: his wife Ann; his children, Michelle Purdy (Sean), Paul Parsons (Shelley) and Heather Sacco (Tony); his grandchildren, Sam, Thomas (Ayla), Finley, Natalie and Julia (Ben); his sister Jean Borghesan; and his siblings-in-law, Lynn Stephens, Martha Buck, Ken Buck (Elta), Garry Buck (Deb), Don Major, Betty Broadfoot (John), June Mitten (Ken) and Barb Taylor. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Woodland Towers (639 W Gore St, Stratford, ON N5A7N2).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Stratford General Hospital Foundation, the Alzheimer Society, or a charity of your choice through the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St, Stratford.
