He was predeceased by: his siblings, Piet (Stiena), Thijs (Gonda), Sjef, Lien (Helm), Miet (Martien), Peta, Anton, Frank and Riet.

He is survived by: his wife Nelly Verberk; his children, Twan (Wendy), Karin McDougall (Jamie Wright) and Nieko (Michelle); his grandchildren, Tammy, Laura (Adam), Amanda (Jessie), Sarah, Darren, Nicholas, Oliver and Noah; and his great grandchildren, Alexis, Makayla, Cassidy, Korrik, Dannika, Luther and River.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Joseph's Church (96 Huron St, Stratford, ON N5A5S6). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location.
