She was predeceased by: her parents, Violet Blair and William Blair; and her siblings, Charles Blair and Betty Mann. She is survived by: her granddaughters, Dawn Klumpenhower and Amber Rawn; her daughter Rachelle Ostrom-Damen; her sister Mona Lovell (Rod); her nieces and nephews, Erin, Steven and Rick Mann; and her friend Deborah Wood.

Donations in honour of her life, may be made to Luella's chosen charities – Operation Smile Canada, First Nations Education Foundation and The Leprosy Mission Canada.
