With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Margurite Jantzi of Stratford, Ontario, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Margurite left this world on October 12, 2025 at the age of 99, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Grainger and Elizabeth Grainger (Murdock); her husband Allan Jantzi; her father-in-law Ezra Jantzi (Dora); her adoptive parents, Christian Lichty and Luella Albrecht; her daughter Fern Daum; her son-in-law Keith Daum; and her in-laws, Ella Steckly (Solomon), Clarence Jantzi, Alma Biesinger (Albert), Ira Jantzi and Ezra Jantzi.
She is survived by: her sons, Keith Jantzi (Peggy) and Garry (Heather); her grandchildren, Scott Jantzi (Roxanne), Steven Jantzi (Shelly), Tanya Cook (Mark), Tracey Bolton (Rob), Tricia McKay (Dave), Jeff Jantzi, Kim Walker (Mark), Amy Hofman (Fabian), Trevor Griffin (CJ), Jason Griffin (Darlene) and Kody Griffin (Brandi); her siblings, Margaret Simons, Darlene Dale (Michael), Gordon Clarke (Mildred), Bob Grainger and Robert Murdock (Susie); her in-laws, Esther Jantzi and Verna Jantzi; and her siblings, Charlie Simons, James Grainger (Edith), Samaira Grainger, Herb Murdock, Bill Murdock, Kathleen Holden (Clarence), Dorothy Neely (Ted), Kenneth Licthy (Glenna) and Gerladine Tickner. She is also survived by grandchildren with 3 sets of twins, and 11 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the W. G. Young Funeral Home (430 Huron St, Stratford, ON N5A5T7). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Poole Mennonite Church.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth or to Poole Mennonite Church through the funeral home.
