She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Horner and Violet Horner (Rathwell); her husband Frank Joseph Ruston; her daughter Debbie Barr; her son-in-law Russ Blackwell; and her brother Gordon Horner (Mary).
She is survived by: her daughters, Carly Blackwell and Lori Stewart (Jeff); her grandchildren, Katie Barr, Kristy Blackwell, Chad Blackwell (Amanda), Greg Stewart and Bradley Stewart (Madison); her great grandchildren, Hayden, Bridgette, Parker, Chelsea and Chloe; her son-in-law Carl Gallant; her brother-in-law Bob Ruston; and her sibling's children, Shirley Holdenmeyer and Marion.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 25th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the W. G. Young Funeral Home (430 Huron St, Stratford, ON N5A5T7). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, February 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Church (96 Huron St, Stratford, ON N5A5S6). A burial was held on Thursday, February 26th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Avondale Cemetery (4 Avondale Ave, Stratford, ON N5A6M4).
