With solemn reverence, we commemorate Norm Bird in Stratford, Ontario, whose life came to an end on May 12, 2026 at the age of 88, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Annabel Bird and Milton Bird; his former wife Margaret; and his brother Gordon (Betty). He is survived by: his wife Helen Mussell; his children, Heather Coombs (Mark) and David (Erin); his stepson Al Mussell (Alison); and his grandchildren, Spencer Coombs, Emma and Carson Mussell. He is also survived by many extended family members, friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Avondale United Church (194 Avondale Ave, Stratford, ON N5A6N4). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Norm's memory can be made to Stratford Perth Rotary Hospice or the Verspeeten Cancer Centre through the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St, Stratford, ON.
