He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Lloyd and Lily Mae Yantzi (Schwartzentruber); his siblings, Eunice Yantzi, Beulah Yantzi and Wilbur Yantzi; his foster brother Richard Yantzi; and his brothers-in-law, John Jutzi, Norman Gerber and Bob Pearce.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Yantzi (Gerber); his daughters, Heidi (John Bailey) and Heather Yantzi; his grandchildren, Selina Bailey (Derek McIntyre) and Noah Bailey (Ellie Maidlow-Whitworth); his siblings, Elva Jutzi, Lois Steckley (Leigh) and Mark Yantzi (Glennis); his foster brother Brian Smithers; and his sisters-in-law, Dorothy Pearce and Elsie Gerber.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 6th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home (291 Huron St, New Hamburg, ON N3A1K2). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 8th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Hillcrest Mennonite Church (1056 Huron St, New Hamburg, ON N3A3E9).
As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Stratford General Hospital or MCC Meat Cannery and can be done through the funeral home.
