He was predeceased by: his parents, Vilibald Ersil (Bill) and Charlotte Ersil of Oshawa. He is survived by: his wife Bernadine Anne Ersil; his children, Julia, Sophia and Randy of Milverton; his siblings, Dr. William Ersil of Kingston, Susan Uranowski (Andrew) of Whitby, Edward Ersil (Lisa) of Ottawa and Roger Ersil (Kathryn) of Bowmanville; his nieces and nephews, Kim, Stephanie, Kristina, Joseph, Ben, Alex, James, Willow and Olivia; and his aunts and uncles, Karl-Heinz Ziegeldorf of Sydney and Alice Jukic of Hampton, Ontario..
