She was predeceased by: her husband Larry Jong Gene; and her son Wayne Gene (Kay). She is survived by: her children, Ying McCann (late Kevin) and Ken Gene (Shirley); her grandchildren, Megan Sonier (Denis), Lyndsey Stewart (Greg), Laura Wilson (Alex), Phillip Gene and Mathew Gene; and her great grandchildren, Annabelle, Elleen, Lillian, Ivy, Sloane, Jack and James.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the W. G. Young Funeral Home (430 Huron St, Stratford, ON N5A5T7). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 2:00 PM at the Arden Park (552 Ontario St, Stratford, ON N5A3J3).
