He was predeceased by: his parents, Remi Vanbruwaene and Maria Vanbruwaene (Dendauw); and his sister Madeline (Gerard). He is survived by: his wife Monique Vanbruwaene (Kints); his children, Nancy Hutchison of Clinton, Mark and Angela Vanbruwaene of Stratford; his grandchildren, Matthew, Nolan and Olivia; his brother Walter; and his sister-in-law Rita Vanbruwaene. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the MS Society, Children's Health Foundation, or South Huron Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
