He was predeceased by: his wife Christine Hyde; his parents, Melvin Hyde and Jean Hyde; and his sisters, Audrey Horne, Thelma Hiuser and Beverley Nichol.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Alexis, Nathan and Carter Goossens; his brothers-in-law, Alex Nichol and Gilbert VanSteelandt; his parents-in-law, George Van Steelandt and Andrea Van Steelandt; and his siblings-in-law, John Hiuser, Arthur Horne, Frank Van Steelandt (Dorothy) and Ricki Van Steelandt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
