He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Thomas and Lillian Thomas; his wife Marion (Ebel); and his brothers, Don Thomas (Midge) and Gord Thomas (Muriel).

He is survived by : his sons, Larry Thomas and Bruce Thomas (Deb Horst); his grandchildren, Ashley, Barrett, Bruce Jr. (Jessica), Jennifer and Samuel; his great grandchildren, Evelyn, Oliver, Dante and Natalie; his brother Ted Thomas; and his daughter-in-law Susan Sneddon-Thomas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations in Walter's memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.
