She was predeceased by : her husband Gerard Backx; her close friend Chris Van Loon; her siblings, Marie Stokkermans of Holland, Anna Stokkermans of Holland, Alphons Janssen of Holland, Rev. Frans Janssen of Holland, Adrianus Janssen of Holland and Paula Van Gorp of Holland; and her great grandchild Charlotte MacNeill.

She is survived by : her children, Michael Backx (Diane Lajoie), Marian Atkinson (David), Jane Brown (Earl), Frank Backx (Toni), Peter Backx (Michelle), Nancy Moore (Frank), Paul Backx (Lynda) and Teresa Spensley (Randy).
