He was predeceased by: his parents, Ken Thar and Dora Thar; and his siblings, Nadine, Keith and Don.
He is survived by: his wife Claudia; his son Jonathan; his grandchildren, Spencer and Maggie; his siblings-in-law, Rob, Bev Phillips and Carole Thar; Larissa Oakey. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and wonderful friends.
