He was predeceased by: his parents, Govert Overbeek and Clara Overbeek; his siblings, Tom and Ann (late Gerrit); and his in-laws, Albert and Antoinette Depont.
He is survived by: his wife Paola; his children, Lynn (Dennis), Chris (Heather), Carl (Ashley), Stephanie (Mike) and Eric (Lyndsay); his grandchildren, Dylan Zachary (Hollie), Ava, Jorja, Bentley, Liam, Harper, Dexter and Theodore; his great grandchild Nora; his siblings, Bryan (Teresa), Judy (late Rick) and Clara (Ron); and his sisters-in-law, Hilda, Arlette (Jean-Claude), Françine (late Alain), Nicole, Claudette (André), Régine (Jacques) and Jocelyne (Dale). He is also survived by nephews, as well as his close friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 4th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, May 5th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the PmStrathroy Cemetery (585 Metcalfe St E, Strathroy, ON N7G1R7).
