He was predeceased by: his parents, Rena Thompson and Earl Thompson; his son Justin (Summer); and his siblings, Larry Thompson and Betty Ann Ferreira.

He is survived by: his wife Irene Thompson; his children, Alicia (Greg), Ashley, Amy (Conrad) and Amanda; and his grandchildren, Aiden, Charleigh and Dominic. He is also survived by 9 siblings.
