He is survived by: his wife Antonia Pereira; his children, Regina, Maria Das Candeias (John), Eva Maria, Graciela (John), Emanuel (Audra) and Ana Paula (David); and his sibling Encarnaçáo (Carlos). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Cancer Society would be acknowledged by the family.
