He is survived by: his wife Maria De Melo; and his children, Odilia Cordeiro (John), John Melo (Maria), Joe Melo, Victor Melo (Margret), Leo Melo (Angela), Louie Melo (Holly), Lucy Melo (Larry) and Walter Melo (Marnie). He is also survived by his 50 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, December 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bethel Baptist Church (264 Princess St, Strathroy, ON N7G2S7).
