He was predeceased by: his parents, Ross Parsons and Lila Parsons; his parents-in-law, Jim and Jean Softley; and his brother-in-law Jim Softley Jr..

He is survived by: his children, Jana Bannister (Bill) and Craig Parsons (Dana); his grandchildren, Carlee (Robert), Jim (Pam), Nissa (Frank), Dan and Jessie; his brother Wallace Parsons (Judi); and his sister-in-law Marion Fenn. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
