She was predeceased by: her spouse Manuel Alves; and her brother Antonio Almeida. She is survived by: her children, Alfred Alves of Kincardine, Maria Luis (Jose) of Komoka, John Alves (Kelly) of Guelph, Anthony Alves and Steve Alves of British Columbia; and her sister Maria Das Angustias of Portugal. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
