He is survived by: his spouse Charlie D'Hoine (Nee Godelieve); his children, Darryl D'Hoine (Wendy) and Gary D'Hoine (Angela); his grandchildren, Nathan, Tarra, Rachel and Devin; his sisters, Irene Roeland (Daniel), Diane Masschelein (Joe) and Annie Milliken; and his siblings-in-law, Willy Vandenbilcke (Doris), Godfried Vandenbilcke (Helen) and Simone Vandenbilcke.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Parkinson's Society of Canada.
