Myrtle Blackwell Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Myrtle Blackwell of Strathroy, Ontario, who passed away on March 19, 2026, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband John Frederick; her son Laurie John; her parents, Norman Stevens and Gertrude Stevens (Ruler); and her brothers, Earl Stevens (Adella), Lloyd (Florence Blackwell), Alvin (Esther Blackwell) and Howard Blackwell (Shirley Howick).

She is survived by: her sons, Robert (Karen) of Goderich and Keith (Anne Wolf) of Strathroy; her grandchildren, Lorraine (Rob Johnson) and Neil (Selina); and her great grandchildren, Terran, Rowan Johnson and Keelyn Blackwell. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Strathroy United Church, Strathmere Lodge Strathroy, or a charity of your choice.
