He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Braithwaite and Margaret Braithwaite (Oke); and his siblings, Jack, Fern Swan (Gord) and Ed.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; and his siblings-in-law, Alice (Jack), Edna (Ed) and Doug Dundas (Darlene).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Strathroy Funeral Home (32 Metcalfe St W, Strathroy, ON N7G1M6). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 at 2:45 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Derwood's memory would be gratefully accepted to Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society.
