He was predeceased by: his sibling Oscar; and his parents, Jelle Sipke and Jikke. He is survived by: his spouse Joyce (Bokma); his children, Ben (Kelly) of Schiffert, Simone Broersma (Brian), Jerome (Natalie) of Schiffert and Janice of Schiffert; and his siblings, Albert (late Edith) of Schiffert and Engeline Huisman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
