She was predeceased by: her husband John Brouwer; her parent Tjitske Ellens (Vankalsbeek); her siblings, Pieter, Eke, Alice, Gordon, Auke, Frances and Theresa; and her in-laws, Bill, Sidney, Philip, Elizabeth, Henny and Tony Brouwer.

She is survived by: her children, John (Marty), Agnes (Ed), Peter (Glenda), Tony and Ed (Jody); her grandchildren, Edward (Carey), Michael (Donna), Jeffrey (Penny), Rachel, Jenna (Darin), Kelly, Cedar and Cade; her stepgrandsons, Bradley and Tyler Zylstra; her great grandchildren, Mason, Launie, Mauve, Landon, Coen and Kingston; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Ava, Baileigh and Charlotte; and her sisters, Joan Kapteyn (Peter) and Agnes Kamerman (Cor). She is also survived by Mom loved her family, all her nieces and nephews.
