It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anita Van Empel of Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, who passed away on October 11, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Anita Van Empel to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Lionel and Lina; her husband Mike Van Empel; and her brothers, Herve (late Lucienne) and Donald (late Gisèle).

She is survived by : her children, Suzanne Yantha (David), Carmen Van Empel (Raymond Swarbrick) and Cindy Van Empel (Tyler Popowich); her grandchildren, Tammy, Dennis, Ian, Christine, James, Ayden and Avery; her great grandchildren, Julia, Alexander and William; her sibling Claire Paradis; and her sister-in-law Bertha Van (Elzen).

In lieu of flowers, donations to Our Lady of Sorrows Church would be greatly appreciated.
