He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Pretty and Margaret Pretty; his son Jim Edward; and his siblings, Howard Jr. (Monique), Mervin (Theresa) and Myrna.

He is survived by: his wife Juliette Pretty; his children, Dan and Angela (Joanne Thibault); his sister Patricia Pilon (Rodney); and his pets, Emma and Cooper.
