He is survived by: his children, Guy Serré, Christiane Trudel, Sylvie Trudel, Michel Trudel and Mario Trudel; his granddaughter Autumn; and his siblings, Robert, Lorrainne Jarbeau (Marcel), Roger (Gisèle), Monique (late Urgel), Gisèle (Gaston), Pierre and Richard (Anne).

Donations to the West Nipissing General Hospital Foundation or the Northeastern Cancer Center in honour of Elie would be greatly appreciated.
